Today was day 3 of our rainy weather in California and man let me tell you we have not seen rain like this in a LONG time. There was even a tornado in the Huntington Beach-Seal Beach area. A firefighter friend of mine caught an amazing picture of it. Once Matt and Mikaela got home we head to Bob's Big Boy for dinner. Mikaela really likes to see Bob. Bob's Big Boy opened in October of 2009 where the old Johnny's Broiler use to be. Johnny's Broiler was a landmark car hop of the 60's and 70's but slowly died. They used the restaurant for many movies, one for example was License to Drive. My mom took my best friend and I when we were in elementary school to watch the movie being made and we got autographs from Corey Feldman and Cory Haim. Then Johnny's turned into a used car lot before it got bulldozed. There were many controversies over the bulldozing and Bob's Big Boy came to the rescue to preserve the old location of Johnny's Broiler. As a kid I can remember going to Bob's with my mom and dad (where the Coco's is on Florence) and getting the Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake fro dessert, now I am taking my own daughter there, so neat.
This was on the big sign that they preserved, this is Johnny.
