January 7

Mikaela and I attend Gymboree classes every Thursdays. We have been going ever Thursday since Miakela was 7 months old. Mrs Claudine is her teacher and she enjoys playing with the other kids her age and I like to visit with the other mom's also. She is in Level 5 now and will soon be moving to Level 6. Today Mikeala learned about bears, it's a new theme every 2 weeks. Today at Gymboree Mikaela came heada first of the slide onto the carpet and got a rug burn on her nose. OUCHY!

January 6

I decided to take some pictures of the house today because we have rearranged some things as well as bought some new things. I read somewhere that it is a good idea to take pictures of your house because your styles will change.

I moved the glider from in here to make room for Mikaela's kitchen Bay Window Room:

We bought a new rug (great deal at Costco) and this is where the glider ended upI hung a picture frame that I have had for over a year that Lisa bought me. I never really knew where to hang it until this space was formed when I moved the glider into the bay window room. I thought this was a neat way to show the saying Memories Are Life's Treasures. The pictures displayed are from when Mikaela was a few days old, 1st birthday, and 2 birthday

Mom gave this to me for Christmas, I love monogramsMatt and my room:
We got a new King Sleep Number bed for Christmas (what's your sleep number?) and with a new/bigger bed has to come new sheets and a new comforter. I never really realized how hard it is to find the RIGHT comforter. I found this one at Target, shopping with Paula the Monday after Christmas, and it just so happen to be on clerence, 50% off (I love that store). This room still needs some help, maybe some pillow shams, a bed skirt and eventually new bed frame and furniture.Office:
Our futon, aka my parents bed, went to Jeremy and Ryann and I now have a place to scrapbook in the office. Now if I could only find time to actually sit down and scrapbook. :) The old desk to the right of the table came out of Mikaela's room to here. I always wanted to paint something on her walls but I could never make up my mind. So once again while shopping at Target I came across these flower wall stickers and thought they would be great in her room. Matt has been working on a project in the garage and while he was up in the rafters he came across my old iron table and chairs. We thought Mikaela would love it in her room for her tea parties. It got a fresh coat of spray paint this afternoon and back in her room for playing. And for the first time I found a spot for a great picture on of my dancers, Molly, made for Mikaela on her first birthday. It says my favorite says Dance Like Nobody is Watching and it has a clay heart necklace inside with it that she also made. The only rooms that didn't have anything new happen to them were the kitchen and both bathrooms.

January 5

Today was my first day back from work since the Holidays. It felt good to be back teaching dance but this is the start of our busy-busy, hustle and bustle time for us. I teach from 4-930 on Tuesday nights starting with a solo, then our Company 3 performing group class, a jazz class, advanced turns class, Company 2 performing group, and I end with another solo. The studio's Company groups have their first performance on January 31st and then for the next 3 weekends after that is the Disneyland Performance followed by 2 competitions. The studio has been a part of my life since I was 3 years-old (almost 30 years), it is my second home. I love my studio/dance family very much. I am so happy to work at SFS Dance Center.

January 4

I was one of the many asked to participate in the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey. As the letter states "You are required by U.S. law to respond to this survey". After Mikaela went to bed I filled out all 28 pages (well the pages I need to fill out) with the wanted information. I fill I have done my duty to help meet the needs of our communty. :)

She is such a fun and silly little girl. She always keeps Matt and I entertained.

As we were getting ready to go to Devean's birthday party Miakela sat in the bathroom very patiently while I gave her piggis with braids in them. This is a first :)

January 1

Here is our family calendar for the month of January. It sits in the office so we can see the happening for each month. As you can see January has some open dates which will be nice but we also have some fun planned for the first month of 2010. Such as: Devean's birthday party, Amber's bithday party, camping in Pismo Beach, Grandma ChiChi's birthday, Bodie's birthday, Showgroup Show and my weekly Gybmoree class.
