What a beautfiul morning it was when Mikaela and I got up and I was taking her to Daycare.  I then went and did my good deed of recyling this afternoon before work.

Mikaela was happy to have Wendy and Jesse back home from their trip to North Dakota.  She was showing Jesse Halloween costumes.  She keeps changing her mind these days on what she wants to be.  Started with Cinderella, then went to Witch (a good one), then a Princess.  We will be making a trip to the costume shop.

HEAT WAVE!!!

We broke a record today in Los Angeles, 113 degress.  Tonight when I got home from work at 10:30pm this is what my car read.  It was a HOT one.

We celebrated our best friends daughter's 1st birthday today at Mother's Beach in Long Beach.

Today was a fun day.  Started the morning with the SFS Dancers performing at the Relay for Life in Santa Fe Springs.  Mikaela and Matt went to the Angel game and I went out with the girls for Girl's Night.  We went to the Groove and ate at Maggiano's.

My mom and dad left today to go back to Georgia.  We had a wonderful visit, see you soon.  :)  We also celebrated out neice Rosslyn's 9th birthday!!

Tonight Mikaela sat with her Papa and watched Phineas and Ferb dinner and before bedtime.

Mom and I took Mikaela to get her hair cut this morning then we meet up with our friends Lauren and Jenn for lunch at Ruby's on the pier in Huntington Beach.  Jenn and I have met back in the days when we danced together at Showcase.  They moved to the San Fransisco area around middle school time.  Mom and I use to go and visit them every summer after they moved.  We are both now mommy's and this is the first time we have gotten our kids together.  In fact Jenn was saying the last time she say me was when I was pregnant with Mikaela at my baby shower.  It was so good to meet Sydney and had a great time with Jenn and Lauren.  Sad that we could not have spent more time with them. 

HISTORY:

When mom and I would go up to visit we would always take a trip into San Fransisco and go to pier 39.  Jenn and I have a picture every year we went of me and her at the end of the pier.  Well here we are in our 30's and taking a picture of our girls and us at the end of the pier, this time it is the Huntington Beach one.

We spent the afternoon over at the Biehn's house so that my parents could visit.  We swam in the pool and had a delicious dinner made by Brenda, Jerry, Jamie and Leo.  Thanks for everything Biehn's/Scebba's we had a great time.

Mikaela was dressed in her Georgia cheerleading outfit ready to watch the game with her Nonna and Papa.  (yes, I know I need to get her bangs cut, the poor kid can't see)

We had our first official tea party.  My mom, dad, Miakela and I all sat in the floor and had a wonderful tea party.  Mikaela loved it.   We even used the quilt my mom made for Mikaela's birthday.  The tea set was mine as a kid.

Mikaela has found a new friend/toy.  It is a wood duck that I had up as a decoration.  She now carries him around like a baby.  It is very cute!

September 15

My mom and dad came in today.  Mikaela made sure that she went and grabbed 2 Cokes for them both.  First stop was In & Out for lunch.

Looking for shoes for Mikaela for the Fall and while I was at Target I took a picture of these to remember them.  Yes in my older age I may be getting wiser but I am also forgetting as well, or maybe that is just baby brain.

We moved the the desk out of the office finally.  The baby's room is getting closer to being ready.  Still has lots of little things to remove but that will come with time.

The desk is now in the bay window room.

Mikaela went back to dance class today.  Her teacher is Ms Rachael for the year.

Today we took Mikaela's piggy bank quarters into the bank to get cashed.  We only saved quarters in her piggy bank and she ended up with a good amount of cash.  It all went into Mikaela's bank account.

I went for my Glucose test today.  Here is the drink I needed to drink and then wait for an hour before they drew my blood.

Happy Labor Day

Tonight we had the family over for dinner.  Matt made tri-tip on the BBQ, I made a fruit salad from the fruit I got at the Farmer's Market on Saturday.  Julie made a green salad and Wendy and Jesse made beer battered coconut shrimp and deep fried pickles.  

September 5

I made dinner tonight with the assistance of Wendy.  It was absolutely delicious.  I made grilled chicken with roasted corn-tomatillo salsa and lime cream salsa.  I got the recipe from Ericka.  She had made it for us when we had gone to have dinner with her and Russ at their new house and I fell in love with the food.  Well I managed to successfully make it by myself.  We also had rice, beans, and watermelon.  I also made Banana Bread Pudding.

We went to the Downey Farmer's Market today.  It was great and we got lots of good food.  We also went to Sg. Peppers Dueling Piano Bar in LB to celebrate Brittany's 21st birthday with Brittany, Brandon, Alicia, Rachael, Andy, Ryann, Jeremy and Matt and I.  We had a wonderful time singing and dancing.

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY BRITTANY.  We went to Melting Pot with her to celebrate.  It was delicious.  Mikaela's favorite part was the chocolate.

Since we have been home Mikaela has been enjoying having Wendy and Jesse stayng with us.  They have been making us dinner, helping me cook and had a great time with each other.

September 1

Here we are in the 9th month of the year, September.  Where has this year gone.  We have lots of fun things happening this month.    I enter my 3rd trimester, Brittany turns 21 and we are going out to the Sg. Peppers Dueling Pianos in LB, the Dance studio opens up for a new dance season, my parents come to visit, I have to take my glucose test, I have a doctors appointment for the baby and a normal doctors appointment to check out the place on my neck, I have a dance concert to go see, and the kids at the dance studio are performing at the Relay for Life in SFS.  As far as birthdays Julie and Rosslyn, and Gwen turns 1.
