Mikaela enjoys playing with mat measuring tape and today she remembered Matt had measured her a while back and wanted to get measured again.  Here is Matt measuring Mikaela on the back of the office door.

Another delay post:

I found out this morning that I am pregnant!!!!  I went to work, stopped by Target in between jobs to pick up another pregnancy test because I am anal and have to double check everything.  Finished teaching for the day came home took the test and jumped in the shower before heading to dinner with Matt.  When I got out I got another test that read "PREGNANT"!!   I then proceeded to get dressed and put on a shirt that I use to wear when I was pregnant with Mikaela that Matt loved on me.  I walked into the den and he took one glance at the shirt and told me "you can't wear that shirt unless you are pregnant", I smiled, he smiled and said "are you pregnant?" and of course my response was  "YES"  It was a wonderful moment!

There was a delay on this post because we were waiting to announce that we were expecting baby #2.  Here is the first ultra sound of our little peanut, due December 3rd.

April 28

Today I announced on Facebook that I am pregnant.  This is what it read:

The Stevens Family is GROWING!!! Mikaela is going to be a BIG SISTER!  The newest little addition to our family of 3 is due to arrive December 3rd. 

It was such an amazing feeling to read everyones comments: Congrats, we are so happy for you all, Mikaela will make a great big sister, how exciting, and so on. 

It was a great way to announce our BIG NEWS!  I also sent out an email to family, friends, SnB Aunties, and studio moms that don't have Facebook and the emails that have come in have also been super sweet and encouraging.

Not that great of a picture, but when I got home from work tonight the way the moon was peaking through the trees out our back sliding glass door was really neat.

I came home from work this Monday, to my wonderful hubby cooking dinner.  He was BBQing steak and corn on the cob, as well as putting garlic bread on the grill and there were steamed veggies inside.  I was such a fabulous treat to come home to this.  THANKS MATT!!  Love you lots.  Here was the after math in the kitchen of the yummy dinner.

April 25

We went out for an adventure today for girls lunch.  Jamie took us to and Indian resturant, Rajadhani.  I have never had Indian food so it really was all new to me, as well as Jill and Rachael, Jamie had been there once before.  You sit down at your table and they just start bringing you good and scooping it onto your plate.  It was quite an experience and I was so happy we ventured out of our comfort zones.    I loved the breads and Rachael ordered a drink called a Mango Lassi that was quite taste too. 

April 24

Fun day!  We started with breakfast at Corner Bakery, then  Gymboree, a quick trip to Walmart and Chick-fil-A to pick up dinner before heading to cousin Rosslyn's softball game.  Home for a nap while Matt and I watched Avatar.  Then out to dinner at the Long Beach Town Center where Mikaela played at the playground.  It was a wonderful family day.

April 23

While sitting in the office with Matt and talking Mikaela and I started building her blocks.  She is pretty particular that all the numbers are on one side and the animals are on the other.  She then backs up and runs and kicks them all down to just restack them. 

April 22

It is so amazing how kids now, know technology so well.  Mikaela knows how to unlock our iPhones and get into programs, pictures, videos.   One of her favorite games to play on Matt's phone is a matching animal game.

This is how I write down formations for the kids at the studio, "x" and their initials.  I also write down lots of the choreography that I teach them so they, nor I forget it week from week.

It was a lazy day around the Stevens' house today.  We watched TV after going to breakfast and played, had In & Out for lunch, napped and just hung out at the house for the evening watching another episode of Life.

Under the parachutte with Mikaela today at Gymboree was lots of fun.

This was our 2nd Friday in a row eating at East Side Mario's in Lakewood.  They have a fabulous happy hour menu and the kids love to play on the patio (when we eat out there)  We ate inside tonight with Andy, Rachael, Luc, Jeremy and Ryann.

Tonight I was in bed at 9pm grading papers.  Such a wild night here at the Steven's household.

April 13

Mikaela takes a drink of water after she takes her medicine before heading to bed.  She is just so cute getting in the fridge to get her water. 

April 12

Every night before Mikaela heads to bed we read her a book, or 2 or 3.  Daddy got to read 1 tonight and I read the other 2. 

April 11

Today on out lazy Sunday at home we watched Life.  We watched 3 different episodes and the one Mikaela liked the most was about the life under the water.  What a neat series. 

April 10

We went to Pei Wei for dinner tonight in Rossmore.  Mikaela LOVES Chinese food and she loves going to Pei Wei because they will make her kid chop sticks. 

She is really getting the hang of them.  After dinner we went to the indoor car race track so daddy could race his truck with some of his buddies.  It is basically an empty warehouse building with a dirt track in it with a bunch of grown men and their remote control cars.  Boys will be boys.  :)

April 9

I took Mikaela to get her hair cut today then we meet Paula at the Westminister Mall at Wendy's for lunch.  We shopped at the Disney Store for just a little while then before leaving Mikaela and I shared a Frosty.  She loved it.

April 8

I got a new hat and boots today.  Mommy said I can wear them for the June Show since the theme is Country. 

April 7

Mikaela goes to a babysitter 4 days a week.  Her name is Lorraine and she is absolutely fabulous.  We are so happy to have found her (thanks to a mom at the dance studio).  There are 2 other little girls, Lauren and Makayla whick they call Kiki, and 1 little boy, Roman.  Lorraine's son in on spring break and she is watching the middle school girl across the street this week as well so they all went to Chucky Cheese on Monday.  Mikaela had a blast and played with Isabelle the who time.  This is one of the fun things they did. 

April 6

Today was Matt's 31st birthday and we spent the afternoon at Knott's Berry Farm.  Matt and I picked up Subway then went and saw Clash of the Titans before picking Mikaela up at 230pm and heading to Knot's.  Ryann meet us there with Lucas and we rode just a few rides.  Then the 3 of us enjoyed a birthday dinner at Outback.

April 5

Today was a very big day for out little girl, she pooped in the potty :)  This means a trip to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and at some point maybe Sea World.  I never thought I could be so excited about poop in my life, but it was the biggest celebration.  We clapped, we cheered, we high fived, and shouted.  Way to go Mikaela.  The joys of parenthood.

We took Mikaela over to Grammy and Pa's house so she could open her Easter stuff.  She was very happy with all the goodies she got, especially her baby hamsters BabyCakes and SweetCheeks.

While my mom was here we put together a book of our families trip to Pismo Beach.  We created it through Picaboo and it was a FREE book.  I am so happy we did this because the pictures are priceless.

Here is our on the 1st of April, April Fool's Day. Here is our family calendar for the month. Mom left today, Gymboree on Saturdays, Spring Break from the dance studio next week, Matt's birthday on the 6th and a furlough day for CSULB. April is not too busy of a month. It will be nice to have some down time to do stuff around the house, Spring Cleaning that is :)
